Parvane Hashemi - Dean


Ms. Hashemi started as a cosmetologist who then decided to focus her specialty into Skincare and Esthetics, which has always been her passion.

1976 - She became a licensed Esthetician and since then she has been working in the field of Esthetics and Skin care.

1992 she started her school and teaching became her second passion.

1995 she received her CIDESCO International Diploma.

Ms. Hashemi has been teaching and training hundreds of students and Instructors in the field of Skin Care - Standard, Master and Medical Esthetics, Massage Therapy, Permanent Makeup, Makeup, Nails and all other related courses including Laser Skin Care and Laser Hair Removal.
Ms. Hashemi is Licensed and Certified in all above.

Her favorite quote is: "Our Skin Is Our Birth Certificate and a Knowledgeable Esthetician is an "Epidermatalogist" Who Can Really Cure 90% of Skin Problems".


Dr. Afsheen Ather

Afsheen graduated in 1997 from Medical School and pursued her career in the field of Dermatology and has been working in the skin care field ever since. Her medical background enhances the expertise in our Master Esthetic Education. She is a licensed Master Esthetician and certified Laser Technician in Virginia.

Afsheen is the proud graduate of the Esthetic Institute. Her professional training/education consists of extensive training in theory and technical skills by using quality core standards. She continues to draw clients coming from different walks of life with all skin types from different regions of the world, which she refers to as "Skin Globalization". In 2009 she attended American society of laser medicine and surgery (ASLMS). She takes special interest in the fields of Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, and Advanced Esthetic Treatments.

Fiona Deibler


Fiona was born and educated in London, England where she attended the prestigious Ray Cochran Academy in London training in Beauty Therapy. Upon graduation and an internship she was certified and recognized by the International certification academy and received the world recognized CIDESCO diploma. Fiona continued her formal training and received numerous additional certifications in Reflexology, Aroma therapy, Electrolysis, Laser Hair Removal and other treatments in the Esthetic industry. Fiona has practiced her profession for more than twenty years in such locations as London, Rome, Wales, Kuwait, Qatar, Pakistan and the United States providing services to members of the public, government officials, celebrities, diplomatic personnel and high ranking foreign officials.

Katie Sellers


Katie comes to The Esthetic Institute as a licensed Esthetician from Columbus, Ohio where she graduated, with honors, from the Aveda Institute. She currently holds an active license in the field of Esthetics as well as a Managing Manicurist license. Katie is originally from Vienna, Virginia and has lived in Nashville, Tennessee and Columbus, Ohio prior to returning to Northern Virginia in late 2010. After struggling as a young woman with many common skin concerns, Katie's passion for skin care, make-up, massage therapy, and other esthetic applications was born. Having experienced many treatments and modalities that heightened her awareness of how and why proper esthetics and effective treatments are a vital part of skin care and overall health, Katie knew what she wanted to do with her future. After her certification by the Aveda Institute as an Esthetician and Instructor, and in practicing these techniques in both the traditional spa environment and in the educational arena, Katie's love of teaching and sharing, combined with her knowledge of esthetics, brought her to The Esthetic Institute as a instructor.

Erika Tutoni


Erika was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary where in 2000 she began her career in skin care. When she moved to the United States, she quickly obtained her Esthetics and Master Esthetics licenses in Vienna, Virginia. After completing her Esthetic studies, she went on to learn the art of Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing. Erika is a licensed Master Esthetician, Master Esthetician Instructor and Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo Artist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Erika has traveled both in the United States and abroad in pursuit of the newest esthetic knowledge. She incorporates these various learned techniques when working with diverse clients. Her philosophy is that beautiful healthy skin can be achieved regardless of your age.

Haley Goeller


Haley was born and raised in Great Falls, Virginia where she began her professional career as a makeup artist. In 2005, she received her certification in Skincare and Beauty Makeup Artistry. In 2008, Haley graduated from Christopher Newport University with a BSBA degree in Marketing. Upon graduation, Haley moved to Los Angeles, California where she attended Cinema Makeup School and was taught by some of Hollywood's most experienced artists. She received her second certification in High Fashion and Runway Makeup Artistry as well as Hair Styling. While living in LA, Haley was able to work on various makeup projects, including a short video and LA Fashion Week. Since moving back to Virginia in 2008, Haley has used her knowledge from both her makeup and college degrees to start her own business and freelance in the Northern Virginia area.
